No photo on our licenses either. I don't know if that's a statewide thing or just our sheriff department. Just a cheap piece of paper, perforation rips still visible along the sides, laminated crooked.

Actually since we have to have the stinking things I actually wish we had them on ours.

My pic is weird, because normally I look like a psycho killer, and here I smiled and tried NOT to look like that. When I saw it I was amazed - no smile and the same old "most wanted" look. Sigh.

Seriously though, I usually have the same problem... sometimes people can't tell I'm smiling. I must look like quite a boring person.
Last time I had my driver's license renewed, I tried to display the biggest grin I could muster... man, what a mistake. Now I have an ID that looks like I'm being sarcastic or otherwise unruly at the DMV.

I do have to present my state issued ID along with it IF requested by any LEO in the state, though!!
Usually, telling the Police Officer that you are carrying is enough. They figure that if you are telling them you have a gun, then you probably do have the necessary paper work!!

I tell ya, having your picture on the permit is a big plus. One day I walk into a book store, get some books and use my ATM card to pay. That's when I realized I didn't have my driver's license - I'd had it out and left it at home. So I whipped out the permit as my photo ID, and the kid just about pooped thinking I was some kind of super-tactical special forces ninja-trained SWAT member. Most people around here have no idea they can even get a CCW and I explained that he too could get one. "Even if I'm not a cop?" he said. Sigh.

Ha - I was hoping the kid wouldn't ask for ID when I used the ATM card but he did. I thought "Hmmm, let's whip THIS out on him!"

Looks like me. Musta been right after one of my Spring haircuts. I hardly ever look the same. Hairs come and and go at will.

County Clerk laminated mine for a fee. It's not a good picture though. Blurry and faded. We are required to supply two photos when we submit our application "kit". It's at our expense using an official passport photo service (30 freaking miles away). There was a copious plethora of hoops to jump through.

I've had to dig it out a few times. Real PITA. Barely fits in the wallet.

I just got my Florida non-residence license. I look like Charles Manson. I would not give that guy a gun permit! Our Missouri permits won't go on a picture id card until July 1. Here's hoping the second chance is better.

I always wear the same shirt everytime I need an photo-ID. In my DL I look like I've not visited a barber in months (3 to be more precise) and have a mustache and a goatie (sp). I my CCW licence photo I have the looks of a West Point graduate.

In Maine there are two types which are issued statewide, First the
standard type issued by DPS which is like any other state License
or ID contains photo. And the other are the types issued by Local PD's
NO Photo, (mine).....

That's funny my issueing department actually laminated mine for me. They did take my photograph for their files, however it isn't on my permit. My thumb print is on my permit how about you?

They never took my photograph at all, although my thumb print is on my permit.

What county are you in? I'm in Yuba County.

I left Kentucky in 1999.

Washington CPL has no photo. It's just heavy paper.

the old MN permits were supplied by the applicant so it wasnt too bad to pick the least worst pic. now it has your DL number on it with no pic. my DL looks like I am drunk / half asleep so it is not the best match for a carry permit.
