The bug bit me again. I'm going to be putting a Manticore stock, Stormwerkz left side hinge, and Bulgarian-style 4-peice booster on a M92 PAP. Seller gave me the serial number by phone and I submitted the form 9/18.

Will look like this (hopefully I get attractive wood. Paid $20 for a select gun):

922r is a big open question for an SBR or a rifle built from an existing pistol. Since I want a good trigger anyway (3 parts) and the stock and booster are American, I only need one more part for 922r compliance (Magpul grip or stainless piston are the best options).

Also put my money down sat on a SilencerCo Specwar 556 Saturday and will be filling out the paperwork today.

I bought the M85, I'll be replacing the armbrace as soon as my stamp gets here (submitted on 9/11) I went with the Manticore stock as well ... As for your last 922r compliance part I went with the Magpul grip ... it gives me a place to store a copy of my form1

From SilencerShop's ATF wait times page:

Paper TRUST Form 4: 7/17/2012 through 5/8/2014

Jeez that's a pretty extreme range... it kind of makes you wonder how they implemented whatever changes they made to speed up the process. It seems like you would try to get the 2012's and 2013's out the door before slamming through the 2014's?

Silencer shop says that's no longer the case, see #2 in the link:

http://www.silencershop.com/support/atf-wait-times/

I'm sure Jason Bowers is glad that's not the case too, just in the past month or so, he's done approvals for residents of TX, MO, FL and MI.

At any rate, even if reviewers were still assigned by state, what bearing would that have on the huge wait time disparity I posted up?

E-Form approvers rotate and always have since the beginning of the e-form process. I believe examiners still specialize in a few states each.

The SilencerShop stats are all Texas transfers. The only electronic From 4s are coming from people who had saved drafts back when you could still create new Form 4s. I had a saved draft Form 1 during the time From 1s were locked out that I could have used but had no project at the time.

A typo in the year by Silencer Shop (most likely) or a small sample size and a single application with problems that finally went through (unlikely).

I'm going to bet on a typo.

Even if it's supposed to be a 2013, you're still looking at a range of 4 - 14 months... Which is still quite a range.

So someone screwed up a form or their check bounced (or . . . or . . .) and the ATF showed extraordinary patience.
This is another reason I don't use SilencerShop numbers, we have not idea how they handle outliers.

As I've posted before, the disparity SilencerShop sees for entity type is not reflected in the 50-state data. A 2 week gap in favor of trusts has opened up in the worst times and closed.

Look at the following:
Paper CORPORATE Form 4: 1/10/2014 through 1/10/2014
Paper INDIVIDUAL Form 4: 12/31/2013 through 12/31/2013
Electronic Form 3: 11/13/2013 through 11/13/2013
What's the sample size there? Very small? One?

I got my PAP and it is really nice. The $20 spent for a select was well spent. The only thing that bothers me is that that $20 includes laser bore sighting and the front post is way over to the left.
