Finally bought the last Glock that I wanted to have in my collection.

That makes 2 of each: 22, 23, and 27.

One accessorized for carry, and one to shoot as much as I want at the range.

Somehow I feel relieved to have it out of my system. If anything, maybe I'll eventually buy a 1911, but I think I have all the pistols I could ever need. :)

Although the 35 is enticing if I ever get into IDPA.

and maybe a 19 for teaching friends....

hmmm.... the G20 looks like a great camping gun....

..... crap.

OD... nahhh.... I'm not a green guy...... or... not yet. lol

What I think I enjoy most about building a collection, is liberally exercising my freedoms.

It's not even that I love guns. It's that I love freedom. I love just putting some pistols in a bag with a couple boxes of ammo out of the closet and driving to the range, knowing that I'm doing something that in many other countries would be a hassle and a half. I feel like I'm thumbing my nose at the UK, Australia, Canada, and more - every time I go to the local range.

I'm sure plenty others here are high on freedom too.

I've got a Team America song stuck in my head....:D

I bought an OD G17, just so mine would look different than EVERYONE else's Glocks. Didn't really like the way it looked at first, but it sure has grown on me. Now, my buddies are looking everywhere to get OD models, too!

What?

No 26?

cheese, ya got to love the G27/23... A great conceal carry combination...BTW, buying Glocks/guns is only out of your system for a short time...The itch to buy more will be back soon...

indeed I do. I currently carry the 23, but before that I was carrying the 27. I'll probably alternate.

If I lose some weight, I'll eventually be able to carry the 22 IWB. Unfortunately I need to lose at least 50 lbs to do that though.

Color yourself lucky.

For the love of me, I can't get it out of my system.

I've got a 22, a 19 and a 26.

I'm constantly waking up at night in cold sweats because my collection of Glocks isn't feng shui.

I cannot get rid of the 22, as it was given to me by my father. So...I've had grand plans of trading the 19 for a 23 and the 26 for a 27. Orrrrrr...simply adding a 17.

But...instead of actually doing that, I've been out buying an M&P9, M&P9c, and M&P40...now...I've....doh! I've replicated the same problem in M&Ps. Curses! or...:cuss:

It's sick. It truly is.

Everyone should own a G17. It was the pistol that started the Glock revolution. As collectible as a BHP one day!:D:p

I have owned every Glock model except for the G21 and anything in .45 G.A.P. I have traded off some that I now wish that I would have kept, such as the G26 and G29. Who knows, maybe I will buy them again someday ;). I am pretty much through with buying any Glocks right now, but they are great products. I do think that they should drop the .45 G.A.P models, and focus more on the 10mm though. After all, 10mm ain't that hard to find when compared to that other hopeless round know as the GAP. If I could own only two, it would surely be the G17 and G20, the original blasters.

P.S - 357SIG is a fun caliber, but in my area the stuff is still as expensive as a
platinum plated F-22.

Initialy I disliked glocks but this forum seems to have me coming around to like them. I think a glock in .40 is on my to do list as soon as I turn 21 years old lol only 2 years left.

please---never buy a G 19....

and please, please, never, never buy a good 1911...you will be runied for life.:)

Why not get an 18C? There's one (actually many) for sale here

If I had the coin and I were a dealer I'd be all over it. Then again, if my mom had balls she'd be my dad, too.

It's often nice to feel a sense of accomplishment when a goal is realized.

I have to admit that although I've been shooting various Glocks for a number of years, I've never really felt inclined to personally own any of them until the last several years. It wasn't until I attended a Glock armorer's class that I finally felt like it would only be fair to add one to my collection of 'working' off-duty weapons.

(I felt this same inclination for picking up a Sig Sauer pistol after attending a Sig Sauer pistols armorer's class ... a P239 interested me at the time ... until I reviewed the listed 'discounted' pricing ... :scrutiny: ... but that's another story. :D )

Anyhow, after considering my personal desires and needs I chose the G26. It was a satisfactory choice for me.

I later added a G27 to my collection, although it was an unplanned purchase. I just couldn't pass up the offer of a really low priced LNIB G27 already equipped with night sights. It's been a decent pistol.

I've practiced and trained with both of them a fair amount, exceeding more than 6,000+ rounds through each of them. Enough to get a feel for them, so to speak.

I still prefer the G26 to the G27, all things considered. Just me ...

However, I admit that I've developed a firearms-related hobby of my own ...

I've become involved in the pursuit of the 'unnecessary' acquisition and duplication of S&W J-frame revolvers. :neener:
