I just fininshed an email to all of my state reps that supported the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. I know many of us write asking for support from our representative, but how many times do we thank those that do? I hope we spend as much time in thanking them as we do in asking for support of the Second Amendment rights!
Face it folks....we ALL like a "pat on the back" for our work! Here is what I recently sent:
"I want to take the time to thank you for voting for the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. I hope you continue to vote in support of the 2nd amendment rights and for the law abiding - legal citizens right to own and enjoy firearms of all types.
I shoot both competitively and in hunting. Shooting is a wonderful activity my whole family enjoys reqularly.
My wife is a great shot and is active in competitive handgun and in skeet/sporting clays. My son is 12 years old and I've started training him in the sport of shooting. He enjoys this very much and can't wait to get to the range.
I just hope and pray that the leaders of this country can see that it's the criminals that should be punished to the MAXIMUM EXTENT of the law and that the law abiding citizens of this great country will continue to be allowed to pursue their interest in the ownership of firearms of their choice and the sport of shooting and hunting. ."
