I check Armslist every day for black powder guns near me, and yesterday managed a big score. An Uberti 1858 Carbine, and an Uberti 1860 Army, $450 for both. Said he never shot them, and just got them to be wall hangers. They looked pretty dusty in the bores and cylinders, but I decided to take a risk with potential rust in there. Cleaned them up this morning, and indeed they look completely new/unfired except for a couple of tiny rust spots on the barrel of the 1860 (not the bore, it is pristine) which I removed with a copper penny. No pits, whew...
