I have a different spin on the whole thing. In my book your buddy won. Yes it sucks he died too but he got the job done. If it happens to me I hope and PRAY I can do as well. Your friend has saved the lifes of others and no man can do more than that.

WHAT?

He opened the door and was murdered.

One of the murderers also died in the attack. That was not the victim's lawful objective.

The act was lawfully justifiable as an attempt at self defense, but as self defense, it was unsuccessful.

And that lawful attempt could have been avoided.

Yes but he did the best he could do by taking her with him. Otherwise we would be spending a hundred thousand a year on housing her and a million on a trial, thank god for muscle memory. One less killer off the planet, who knows if they would have caught her and what the plea bargain would have been, she may have never got caught, or pled down and been out in a few years. The low life is gone, thank you Butch, you were a good soldier to the end, God bless

It's a tragic story, and I suspect we will see more of them as the economy worsens. RIP.

This kinda got to me. May he rest in peace.

A peephole ain't going to help much when the devil knocks.. he probably "knew" her and extended his hand to her down where he volunteered in other words.

Sad.
