I did some trading. Wound up with a 1951 vintage nickel pre-27 Smith with a 3.5" barrel and genuine stag grips (the original diamond magnas were also included in the deal). The gun isn't perfect, maybe 90% with some specks in the nickel, but I think it's worth the $550 I have in it since the grips could be sold for $100-$150.

Just what I need, another N frame .357! It's a sickness, I tell ya.

Ala Dan, I traded a .38 Super Colt I no longer wanted for the Smith with both grips and $200 boot. I figured the Colt was worth $750 so I have $550 in the revolver. If the stags are worth $100-$150 on ebay then I have $400-$450 in the gun. I could probably get that much for it at auction. Like I said, it's not perfect but the 3.5" guns sell pretty good and being C&R it might get interest from California buyers.

Speaking as on trapped in the PRK for the moment, you certainly would get interest ~ at least from me
