Umm, if it's meant to co witness on an AR pistol, the sights in raised position or stock hight are above the lens of those type of rings. You may have to use higher rings, or picatinny riser. For red dots. I have used the Leatherwood Hi-lux. (Leatherwood made a nice sniper scope in Vietnam, and still make it, the ART.) It's a small CA company. Not China stuff. And the 1x50 was retailing around $100. And shoots great.. I've used the Simmons and Leaper too without issue. Personally, on my Carbine, I use an EOtech. Pricey, but very reliable in all conditions.
