Can anybody fill me in on Double Tap ammo? it's about half the price of other defensive loads, so are they a company that reloads with other companies "guts". Example, I found 50 rounds of " Double Tap Speer Gold Dot 155 gr. .40 S&W" for $25. That should cost $50-$60. Can anybody tell me what these are.

I use it exclusively, these days, in my 10mm Glock 29. The 180 gr are my choice.
I ran a function test with some DT 9mm through my XD and did experience a squib. I caught the malf immediately, so no damage done, but it was one of those things that gives one pause. No problems of any kind with the 10mm.

It's really good stuff. A bit hot, but not too bad.

From what I understand its just below Buffalo Bore, but a bit less expensive/round. Yeah, I have 50 rounds of 180gr .357 waiting to have a few rounds lit off, the rest will be held back for hiking.

Only heard one bad thing about it and that was like a slight mislabel or something. Everyone else likes it.

Mike McNett makes some of the best 10mm ammo there is,all new components in all of his ammo.I've used his ammo in my Glock 20 ,SRH .454, S&W.500,Sigma 40ve and my Bushmaster with zero problems. I have a 9x25 6" lone wolf barrel for my G20 and the ballistics for his ammo in this caliber are awesome. There are very few ammo makers that have his expertise with the 10mm cartridge.
