I was wondering about: http://www.doubletapammo.com/php/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=42
And thinking about getting it myself, just to test it out; even if not picked for self defense (not known just yet) it seems like a very unique and fun range round, for sure!
Anyway, has anyone tested this very unique "double shot" round in gel? I read one of the Review comments on the DT website about this round, and the guy said he 'double tapped' a 245 lb. boar and stopped it in its tracks... though it was to the boars head. Yes, shot placement won!
Since it's a relatively low-velocity round, .45 ACP velocity almost, I'm assuming it's going to very VERY easy to have follow-up shots with this round. Two holes each round, even though one is 135 gr. and other 95 gr., it still sounds like it could do a decent amount of damage to a target! Someone on the Reviews said it was like a mini shotgun round. I'd guess that's pretty accurate, huh.

I wonder if they could make a 200 gr. Equalizer, with each projectile being 100 gr. each, and traveling at 1250-1300 fps out of a Glock 20? Hey, that'd be neat, huh? They can do other combo's too! This could be a great new line of ammo if someone really puts some money and time into developing it!
Not to get lost in the hype: Again, anyone test this round? Mike McNett specifically: have you done gel tests with it yet?
I'm not expecting spectacular "10mm-like" results, since these're slow moving, light grain projectiles; but still, I'm curious.
