DPMS Mark 12 in 7.62x51

Has anyone seen the Mark 12 in 308 out yet? It has been on DPMS' website for about 6 months. I haven't seen them on gunbroker or online dealers. I see the 5.56 version everywhere but never the 7.62x51.

Well I am about to buy one tomorrow. Any deal breaking info would be great. I found one in 308/7.62 for 1499 with irons and a CTR.

It looks like a cheap AR in 7.62 with a snazzy name and 1K added to the price to justify the snazzy relabel.....

I have shopped around and for the features you can't get an AR in 308 for anywhere close to 1500. I looked at Armalite and their base model is 1300! On the Mark 12 you get a CTR stock, MI flip sights, and a floated barrel. Name another AR in 308 with those options for 1500 dollars.

They could call it the death ray for all I care. You guys sure get hung up on the trivial things.

What I really want to know is ther reliability issued with DPMS ARs in 308? Not whether the name is cool or not.

I have a DPMS Sportical .308 that I have put about 300 rounds through. Its not the same model you are getting but same manufacturer. The rifle is very accurate and had never given me any problems. I love it and I love DPMS too. This was my third DPMS AR type rifle, all three have been flawless and accurate.
