DPMS Panther .308

Considering one of these..Possibly the one with the 18" Bull Barrel.

How is the accuracy and reliability of this rifle? I've heard some negative things about the reliability of .308 AR's.

Folks over at M4carbine.net say DPMS 308's are good rifles. Considering how strict they are over there when it comes to accurate information, I'd believe them.

Well..There is also the PTR-91 for about the same price..

We just tested a 21" DPMS AR-10 last week and it seemed to perform fine. We put about 100 rounds through it without a hitch. The only downside is their horrible trigger pull, a sloppy 12-15 pounds! It's not a bad start but a really expensive platform to start from for a custom build.
