I purchased the Oracle from Cabels last week and saw a DPMS Sportical on Bud's Gun Shop for $604. Does anyone know what the difference between the two rifles are? The Oracle is also on Buds for $616. Also I have been reading a lot about AR's having trouble cycling steel case ammunition, thoughts anyone?

I'm sure that DPMS's website will tell you what the differences are.

As far as steel cased ammo; some people have had troubles, most haven't. Not all ARs are built the same. You won't know if you'll have any cycling issues until you shoot some in your specific rifle. Avoid Wolf; it is well known to be underpowered, which would cause short cycling.

W/O going to DPMS's website and checking, i think its the FSB/gas block.
One has a standard post (oracle?) and one has a railed gas block (sportacle?) i think.

I also beleive the sportical to be a flat side receiver and the oracle has a forward assist and shell deflector. Check their website.

I took a look at a friends Sportacle and it doesn't have a forward assist, dust cover, or shell deflector. I bought some of the new Tula ammo and it is steel cased in the black box. I won't be able to run it for a little while but I'm itching to get a couple rounds off!

Looks like these are the differences between the two. From the DPMS website:

Oracle:
Upper Receiver:
# A3 Style Flat Top, Forged
# 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum alloy
# Hard coat anodized per Mil Spec and Teflon coated black
# Dust cover
# Shell deflector
# Round forward assist
# Right hand ejection

Sportical:
Upper Receiver:
# Flattop Lo-Pro, Extruded
# 6066-T6 aircraft aluminum alloy
# Hard coat anodized per Mil Spec
# Right hand ejection
