These have become quite popular and the last shipment has run dry.

I have so far gone through two companies, and the first order fell through, so I have another on order with a different company; not the one listed above.

I figured some people are still looking so I'd post this if anyone's interested and while we're at it, all DRACO AK47 pistol owners, tell us about yours.

How's she shoot, handle etc..?
 
I picked up my Draco last year and in one way my cost was slightly over what I think I should have spent but very glad I did. First thing is ear protection, it is nasty loud, second it is not a precise weapon but loads of fun to shoot. I put a BLANK adapter on mine and load it up with 30 and 40 rds mags of blanks, cycles every time plus a huge ball of fire and again its tons of fun. Would I buy another, yes if it presented itself at a reasonable cost I might even get two more of them.
 
ok the order I had with Kingdom Arms apparently wasn't in stock, even though they had it listed as having 1 in stock... but they got back to me quickly to let me know and voided the charge on my card.. cool.


So, I just placed the order withthe above company.. and hopefully, since it, too, was listed as IN stock, hopefully they actually have it.
 
It just arrived at my FFL from Fast Firearms. It's a cool gun, better shape than my WASR-10. The top cover is a real PITA to get off. Came with two brand new, look to be unissued 30-rounds stell mags. Lightly welded-on muzzle nut. Straight sights, no cant.

The wood hand guard is in great shape, has a red bake-light pistol grip in excellent condition, a forward sling slot, and cleaning rod. It's balanced well, light-weight, and if it was select-fire, had a one-point sling, and was used for LE or military use with some tacti-cool furniture it'd be a handy combat weapon. That's what they're designed for, for the Romanian Army, or well, when they have a stock as a SBR and/or select-fire anyway.

As it is, for what it is, I like it. It's not a rifle, and it sure as heck is not concealable and this 'pistol' designation is a friggin joke. But I can see how it could be very useful.


First thing I'm doing with it is getting a single-point rear sling attachment and a red-dot reflex sight
 
Sure it is, it's not designed and manufactured to be fired from the shoulder with a stock, so it's a pistol.

Our gun laws consider a supressor to be a firearm all by itself. Definitions are what they are, all anyone can do is stay within them and manufacture products that people like and want to buy.

Let us know how it shoots. I think with these type of large pistols designed after various rifles, a sling makes them a little easier to keep stable.
 
Will do. Apparently weekends don't count for the 3-day waiting period Florida still has, so I can't get it until Wednesday... where's that head-bang icon?

I guess people only buy 'handguns' to kill someone on business days.:scrutiny:
 
The draco is a great candidate for an SBR. That is what I am doing with mine. As it comes I would rather have my glock 17 or one of my other AKs for just about any conceivable task. I can think of some very far fetched scenarios in which the Draco pistol would be the best choice. I'll probably put an aimpoint on it while I'm waiting for my stamp. I imagine that will make it a bit easier to shoot, but still vastly inferior to a gun with a stock. Even with a sling for tension my experience has been that the pistols versions of rifles are just not very easy to shoot real well.
