Hy everyone,
after a long wait my new dreamrifle arrived, the unique Alpine TPG1 wich I ordered in 6.5x55.

It has a two stage trigger, set to 1.2 lbs, a 650 mm barrel with 1in 8 twist and it will be equipped with a Schmidt & Bender PMII 5-25x56 scope

I selected the 6.5 because
a, I love the cartridges ballistics
b. I want to be able to shoot it without a muzzle brake (not allowed or not popular at the indoor ranges i frequent)
c. it will only be used to kill paper (i hope)
d, longest range in belgium, open to civilians is 600 m

I will start of shooting lapua 123 gr ammo

Any reload tips are welcome

very nice looking rig and congratulations on your purchase. i'm new to the reloading addiction, but i have already decided i want a bolt action rifle eventually when i can afford it. right now i am working on getting a scope for my AR10.

Ive had good luck with IMR-4831 in 120gn pills in the past. I save the H-4831 and Reloader22 for the 140gn bullets.

Very, ah, tactical looking rig.

I do not think I would want to shoot a centerfire rifle on an indoor range. I stay away from the ones that allow it in the same bay as pistols.

I would limit the 123 grain bullets to that indoor range. As the range gets close to 600 metres, I would shoot the 139 grain Scenar or similar; the 142 grain Sierra if available to you.

txs all

Jim, our country is like one big city, so there is no room left for outdoor ranges exept on some military training grounds.

Our indoor ranges are well equipped, even for 100 metre surplus rifle matches (think m1garand) .

We even have electronic targets at these ranges.

We even have indoor clay shooting ranges and indoor ranges where hunters can go to shoot at cinematic images of game.

It has it's price though.

In germany, it even gets better:
this is the indoor 300 m range in germany:

The 6.5x55mm Is a super cartridge that deserves a long range.
Use Norma or Lapua brass if possible. Privi brass is OK.
