Hey all. Looking to get a GI 1911, and to my horror see that for the type I want (a 1911 made by Union Switch & Signal - I am a railroad guy) was around 3000-4500 dollars.
So instead I have thought, what about the US&S parts kits that show up from time to time? Even the slide would be enough.
ANyone here with a NA 1911a1 know if there were any changes made to it that it wouldnt accept an original GI slide?
