I finally got to torture test my cz75 after my reliability upgrades and I can now pronounce it 100%.

Started with clean gun, new cz rubber grips, new extractor, Wolff recoil spring, wolff extractor spring, and maybe a +5% mag spring in one of the mags. Used a variety of mags, one cz 15rnd, one promag 15rnd, 3 cz 16rnd. Used ceramic rods to slick a few things up.

Used Pro Shot gold grease instead of oil on rails, hammer sear engagement, lugs, link area, etc.
(cannot say enough good about this product).

I shot 48 rounds of mixed ammo (russian, South African surplus, s&b) a month ago and did not clean.

Yesterday, using all mags, shot without cleaning or lube at least this...

200rnds WWB 115 FMJ
50 rnds WWB 147 JHP
50 rnds S&B 115 FMJ
50 rnds S&B 124 FMJ
50 rnds UMC 115 FMJ
10 rnds Silver Bear 147 JHP

Plus a few partial boxes.

Shot right hand only, left hand only, and right and left modified weaver stance. Wife shot two mags. I used some mixed mags often with a HP as first or second round but mostly not.

Gun got hot, but could cool some while I was reloading.

Now for the good news. 100% functionality. 0 malfs of any kind. ~450 rnds fired without cleaning.

Have I said how much I like this Pro Shot Gold Grease?

I wish the gun came this way from the factory in the first place. But I am still happy. The new extractor had different dimensions than the old one did and with the stronger spring it seems to be cured.

I used to blame that crappy promag but it was the pistols fault. All mags shot great. Good news for me as I still have another 2 or 3 to dig up some where around here.

CZ does need to address the spring issue. They probably import them from the U.S.A.:D My Cz 75B 9mm, has been flawless in function, with 3000rds. I've tried WWB, Magtec, Federal Ball & Hydrashok, and mostly reloads, and the gun is 100%. I did however, break a trigger return spring, while dryfireing, and I swaped out the recoil spring for a wolff 15#. I was tired of chasing my brass into the next county. For the money, you cant beat the CZ line, but good springs cant be that much extra on price, and should be a given.

I like your sense of humor. Other options for weak springs could be the french or the english. :)

I think the design of the extractor itself is a big issue. My new one seemed a bit thinner in the claw area. Other minute changes as well. It could have even been a slightly different metal. There were three circles in the form of a right triangle on my replacement but there were none on my old one. Anybody know when they changed this?

Yeah, my 14lb spring dumps em 3 to 6 feet to the side in nice little piles. I am sorely tempted to go shoot again today.

Glad to hear it Bevr. Nice report and I agree they all should be that way out of the box. Mine have been flawless, but I also replace the recoil springs with Wolff on all my CZ's.

of course this now means that I have to save up for the SP-01 I have been drooling over. I had almost talked myself out of it. Where I am going to come up with the money? I have no idea. I suppose I don't really need BOTH kidneys... :uhoh:
