Ok guys the title I think is correct I happened to be in Springfield today and while there went to the LARGEST BASS PRO IN THE WORLD and they had just opened a new NRA museum last Friday let me tell you guys if you ever have a chance to go you should here are some reasons why Lewis and Clark's air rifle yep there the first 870 yessir the TEN MILLIONTH 870 you betcha THE TEN MILLIONTH MOSSBERG 500 ayep PARKER DOUBLES PURDEY HOLLAND &HOLLAND Winchester model 70s one of only 4 Savage 1907 45 acp field trial pistols NAPOLEONS FOWLER ANNIE OKALEYS SHOTGUNS TWO OF THEM AND A PISTOL OF HERS BAT MASTERSONS PISTOL JESSE JAMES SCHOFEILD REVOULVER AN ORGINAL COLT WALKER PATTERSON ANSHUCTZ RIFLES PRESIDENT GROVER CLEVELAND'S 8 gauge colt shotgun Winchester model 12s 1st generation Colt SSA the only prototype model 70 with a radio in the stock trap guns from the trap hall of fame the first gun EVER DONATED to the NRA you most see it an ad on the back of their current catalog said "Over 20 million dollars worth of guns" it is worth the drive I PROMISE YOU THAT MUCH oh and here is a little sneak peak that right there is the wall of AMERICA every major rifle design ever used by our military

I was up there a couple months ago. The museum wasn't open yet but I loved the staircase leading up to it....

I had forgotten that it opened last week (I had been out of town.). I am going this weekend! Can't wait!

I made my first visit today. This is a superb museum. Allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy it. I recommend it highly to every firearms enthusiast.
