Excepting, of course, the Legion, which actually consists of mostly French officers and many French troops (or at least it did in the late 80s). But they are obviously made of sterner stuff. No cheese-eating surrender monkeys allowed.

Funny fact ... In Syria during WWII the Free French 13th Demi of the Legion actually fought the Vichy 6th Battalion of the Legion. They met on the field the night before for the playing of 'Le Boudin' then went at each other the next day like wild men. Then buried their dead together after. Pretty cool.

Now THAT's funny.

I once dropped my Sig P232SL on my MacBookpro. Made a nice little 1/8" dent in the aluminum case too.
Computer ran fine though for another 3.5 years after that!

Why is it nobody complains about italian guns being prone to changing sides in the middle of the fight and shooting you in the back

Or russian guns only being suitable for murdering unarmend pesants

or british firearms being best suited to shooting brown skinned peoples

Perhaps most fitting of all American firearms getting tired in the middle of the fight and simply going home.

Bash the french all you want it just shows your ignorance of military history. The french fought the Germans to a standstill and held the line in wwI and in the process lost an entire male generation.

They did indeed fight the wrong war in wwII

they at least had the decency to be defeated in Vietnam before packing up and going home

They are one of our staunchest allies in Afghanistan


On the subject of WWII think about this. If in 1938 god had decided that Mexico and Germany would swap places geographically I assure you Canadians would have been speaking 3 languages before 1940.

Heck the last time we fought a foreign invader on our soil our capitol got razed to the ground

Actually, that's fine. The Image of the French fighter can only go upwards from where it is right now.
In a fight, there's nothing more advantageous than being under-estimated by the other side.

Yep and the French, Polish, Czechs and Dutch would have the job of trying to keep the Mexicans out of their countries instead of us.

Your rifle should be fine. I have had a couple fall over and one slid off the bench at the shooting range right on to the cement. I dropped my Beretta 950 in the garage a few weeks ago. That put a little ding in the grip area.
 
It's a rifle, not rare china.

My M39 fell over last night and went muzzle-first right into a concrete wall. The concrete wall lost.
 
I dropped my shotgun off the truck bumper onto the gravel driveway, it still works.

Guns get dropped and beat by their nature.
 
Those guys are Swiss unless the French started to buy Swiss rifles. Or possible mercenaries, their equipment is a bit off. Looks like an Acog on those 550's, never seen the Swiss do that before.

If you guys think the French suck go buy a plane ticket to Iraq and open up on them. See how well that works.

I'm not angry, and I'm not French.


But I do beleive in fair play and giving credit where credit is due. The French have been VERY good allies to us lately, as have some other countries like Canada and the UK. They are in Afghanistan sorry not Iraq, and a few other places as well as part of NATO.

I just don't think its right making fun of allies who are fighting with our guys, to try to help us win a war.

Just my 2 cents for what its worth.

I was refering more in general to a lot of the French bashing I see.
