Excepting, of course, the Legion, which actually consists of mostly French officers and many French troops (or at least it did in the late 80s). But they are obviously made of sterner stuff. No cheese-eating surrender monkeys allowed.
Funny fact ... In Syria during WWII the Free French 13th Demi of the Legion actually fought the Vichy 6th Battalion of the Legion. They met on the field the night before for the playing of 'Le Boudin' then went at each other the next day like wild men. Then buried their dead together after. Pretty cool.
