I know that some rugers have a firing pin disconnector or whatever that allows you to dry-fire safely, but I have a Browning Challenger and a Hi-Standard Dura-matic that don't... I was considering buying a few snap-caps, but you need to retract the slide to reset the internal firing pins on these. So wouldn't the snap-cap be extracted every time? Seems like it would be a pain.
Has anyone removed the extractor on your 22 semi for dry-fire practice? Or is that another one of my stupid ideas?
