Observations from the Des Moines gun show.....

.22 ammo is available, $55-to-$90 for 500 rounds

9mm......hardest to find, self defense box of 20 rounds....$50

Very few primers, saw some around $50 for 1000

Ar-15's have come down in price....from an average of $2K a month ago, now $1200-to-$1400.

Stripped lower AR receivers......$200-to-$400

Sub-compact CCW handguns are plentiful....lot's of wives and girl friends shopping.

Concealed carry holster vendors have doubled.

Slow movers that most people ignored......used shotguns, old revolvers, and target rifles.

That about sums it up for North Carolina shows also... Ammo tables you could hardly get to...

Same in Virginia. It's undeniable that non-gun people are arming themselves. The buyers are definitely not the "usual suspects." The surveys touted by the antigunners that purport to show a drop in gun ownership are complete bunk. This panic is changing the demographics of gun ownership, and that in turn may change voting patterns going forward.
