Dumb AR sight ?

Looking at getting my first black rifle, and I want a scoped tack driver and would like to use open sights as well if needed. If you get one with the fixed front sight, wouldn't it interfere with the use of a scope? Or would you just "see thru it"?

You see through it. It's just a minor blur that doesn't interfere with your sight picture.
Another option is get flip up front and rear BUIS (back up iron sights).

You can always mount your scope higher, but I say get flip ups.

If you have a magnifying scope, the front sight will be invisible. You will probably want a flip-up rear sight.
