First attempt @ using Duracoat....The only thing I can recommend is using a quality airbrush with a compressor, the airbrush that comes in the kit is junk and if you try to use the cans of propellent you will hate yourself. Other than that its a great product...you have to take your time and make sure the stencils and on there really good. After using the AK for practice (you really can't mess up an AK) I think I am ready to try a more exspensive peice.

And here we have the brand new ,"Kitchen Sink with Houseplants" pattern Duracoat.

That's a classic!

The last thought any intruder will have is "Why is that sink pointing at me? Something seems off with those plants..."

:D

Thinking about using duracoat on a few things. Did you have any trouble making sure the surface was prepped (everything degreased and so forth)?

naw, the degreaser that comes with the kit works pretty good..I sanded down the rifle with 320 grit, then degreased it again before I started. I did have a couple spots that I didn't get good enough with the sand paper and the masking tape and stencils pulled off a little bit of the basecoat. But no big deal, you can touch up anything with an airbrush before you clear coat it.
