Dust Covers for Presses....

I was wondering what everyone used for a Dust cover for their press if a company doesn't make one for a certain press or if there is anything cheaper than the manufactures cover. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.

If you want cheap, just put a plastic bag over it (well, static is a problem).

You can go to Wally world and cut up a vinyl shower curtain for something like $2.50.

I have a couple cloth sacks made up for dust covers. I had a friend's wife who owns a sewing machine make them up for me in exchange for a bottle of home made wine. The wine's long gone but the covers will probably outlast me

Nylon drawstring sleeping bag/hiking gear sacks work just fine.

You can usually find them at WallyWorld, Target, or a chain sporting goods company. For the size to cover a large reloading press probably less than $5.

Got two Dillons, one with pretty blue factory cover, other with old T-shirt. Pillow case works nice too, if I can swipe one without the wife noticing.

Will prob get a Dillon cover when I have reason to order some other stuff from them. Ain't real thrilled with paying big postage for small orders. Recently ordered a "spare parts kit"....weighted couple oz... and postage was about $6, for a $13.95 item.

I use a pillow case or I have a cloth drop cloth to cover the whole reloading bench!

I use clear plastic bags for my press and electronic scale. Any old clear plastic thin film bags. I haven't had any problem with static electricity. At least, not as yet.

I have a small sheet

that I put across the entire loading bench. Both reloaders, the drill press (for chamfering), the tumbler and the tool heads, etc.are covered,

Currenty I dont have any covers for my press's. I just fire up the compressor and use air to blow them off when they get dusty.

I guess I should look into a cover or two though.

Hummm...Now why didn't I think of that. I'll just run my compressor hose right into the gun/computer room and start blowin'. Thanks Lennyjoe. Now I l have another reason to run from my wife and her BBB (Big Bad Broom) L O L.

I have gotten good milage out of the legs of discarded bluejeans. Cut them off,sew up that end,and slit the sides of the open end to make a better fit around the base of your press.

Just say paper

Next time the clerk says "paper or plastic?" say paper

Brown paper bag, mouth down, with a hole cut for the handle. Current bag is approching 20 yrs old and the price was certainly right! Next planned mod is to have my grandaughter, the artist, paint some appropriate scene on the bag. Just to make the area more elegant of course.

I'm supposed to cover it? Whoops. I do keep all the accesories in thier boxes, including beam scale, calipers, dies, etc - just the press sitting out.

I use a laundry bag with the built in cinch tie that I bought for $6. Keeps the dust out and the kids from playing with the press.

I go to Wallys and to the small appliance center and pick up a cover for a cake mixer. works well they come in different sizes.
