I put another 200 rounds through my new CBOB. So far she's been awesome.

Shot 100 rounds of 230 grn FMJs & 100 rounds of 185 grn HPs. After 30 rounds of the FMJs I noticed that I was pulling the trigger a bit & it felt heavy. I used a trigger scale & was surprised to see it was breaking at 3#'s. I felt that the heaviness was from a burr on one of the trigger parts. After a little discussion w/ a buddy, it was decided to stone the internals a bit just to clean it up & smoothen the pull. My buddy has an old honing stone that feels like thick construction paper. I put a couple drops of militec on it and started polishing. It didn't take long to basically polish out all the appropriate parts & contact points. Reassembled my gun and re-measured the trigger pull. To my surprise, it's now 2.5#'s and like buddah.

Well, the remaining rounds went by really quickly and every round went right where I point it. The pull I had is gone! At 50' all shots can be covered w/ a quarter. I honestly thought I was missing the target because I wasn't seeing any new holes. Yup, I'm a satisfied owner of a DW 1911 :D

As far as fit & finish. Fit is tight and surprisingly very good for what I look at as a production gun (like Colt, SA, Kimber, SIG, & Taurus)...I hold it on par w/ guns more considered semi-custom.

Finish is a slight mixed bag. I'm thinking that if this gun were finished properly I wouldn't have had this burr issue, but outwardly, she's a beauty. Out of 100, I'd give her an 89. Good parts, quality assembly, very good shooter...a great value!

I've been very pleased with my CBOB in .45 ACP. This is the first 1911 for me in over 20 years. I still like and shoot CZ75 type guns better, but improving with the DW.

So just how much does that bobtail increase concealability?

I'd love to have one of those in 10mm (that or I wish they'd put an officer's sized frame on it ... with the bobtail).
