Hi all,
Does anyone use the EAA Witness Steel Wonder in Compact 40. S&W for everyday carry.
I really like the looks of this piece.
Thanks , Floyd

I only have one EAA and it isn't a Compact or a .40, but it does have the "Wonder Finish".

I've had my full-sized Witness 9x19 for about 15 years. I carried it daily for 3 or 4 and still shoot it quite a bit. All told, at least 7K rounds have been through it. I used it in two different training classes, on of which required over 1,200 rds in 3 days. Not one malf and cleaning was just a quick wipe-down at the end of each day.

It is exceptionally reliable with either HP or ball. The finish has proven to be extremely durable and corrosion-resistant. Other than one routine spring replacement and normal cleaning it hasn't required anything.

Witness is a good gun. Can be picky with magazines.

I'll second that. I have a full-size steel and a full-size poly and while the mags look identical they aren't. Other than the mag issue, these are solid good shooters...

I carry EXACTLY that gun in an Allesi shoulder holster with extra mags on opposite side. Full of duty Ranger T 180 grain ammo.I carry it as a 'truck gun' however, it is NOT listed on my Calif. CCW, but now I am a reserve officer! The gun replaced my CZ97 for that truck duty! The witness is accurate and has never jammed with 600 or so rounds- it is a chunky gun, whats NOT to like?

Witness Is definately a great gun. I own the elite match in 40 S&W. It has a nice solid frame without being too heavy. Recoil is minimal & where you aim is where the bullet goes. It's a little big for consealed carry but for everyday carry it's a good size.

I've to a Witness Match in .45

Just got it so I don't have a lot of experience with it other then one range trip. It shoots awesome though. Very accurate. Too big for carry for me, I bought it as a range toy/nightstand gun

I have the witness silver team in .40 with an aimpoint up on top, great target gun. am reloading for it, with great results.

bought this a few years ago it was a limited production called a Witness Tactical made only 200 came with a ported barrel, bought a compact barrel from EAA, has the wonder finish Len

Are the Witness and Baby D.E. made at the same factory?thanks

I'm not sure about now as my baby eagle is an older model but my witness & baby eagle don't have the same factory markings.

True, both Witness and IWI (formally IMI) Baby Eagles (Jerichos) are made at the same factory but assembled at different places, Italy and Israel respectively. IWI sells a frame mounted version as the Jericho 941. Magnum Research initially imported both slide and frame mounted safety versions but for unknown reasons they now only import the slide mounted version.

If I could find a NIB Jericho 941 with the IMI markings I'd snap it up.
