its i guess the new cz-99 from what ive read and looks alot like the sig 226

anyone have one?

hows the accuracy?

reliability?

what about after market mags?

will this accept any 226 stuff (holsters, mags, anything)

im looking for my first center fire pistol and since im saving for college im on a budget below 400 i like the looks of these i like sigs but they tend to be a bit pricey kidna like a bmw nice not flashy but expensive

ive read a few reviews they all favored it,i handled one at the local shop ,nice gun ,built well,parts could be a problem if ever needed but i dont think you would have to worry about parts for it.any comparable sig holster would work,i assume.they wanted 299.00 for the one i played with but it was a trezitzu tz99 ,same pistols,been under 3 or 4 names,it shot great in the reviews ,it was a best buy.
 
below 400.... you should be able to get a bunch of different police trade-in glocks that will serve you well...

have you shot a SIG yet, or done any shooting around? picking a gun based on looks shouldn't be your first criteria.
 
broken how long ago was that?

burn ive done alot of shooting i just dont own a centerfire handgun i own 2 .22lrs and use my friends and brother inlaws alot (everything from 9mm up to .44 and .454) i like teh way sigs fit my hand and the way they look they seem to shoot as well as any glock ive fired and all had a much better trigger

im not a fan of glock just a personal thing nothing wrong with them at all but i just dont like them much
 
ah, ok cool. also check out the STI polymer pistols, i forget the model number off the top of my head at the moment, i think the GP-something? they reminded me of sig, just plastic lol.
 
plastic isnt a biggie with me lol means less weight and as long as it balances good thats fine with me

whats the goin rate of them? im a poor college student lol less is best

i was looking at the police trade in sigs but the 225 and p6 only come in single stack and i want a double if i wanted 7-8 round id get a .45

there it is... ouch, 656 msrp, doh. i thought it was under 500. i handled it at the state championships last october and it felt good.

go to cdnninvestments.com and look at the FN pistols. they get good reviews here, and recently were available for $350 with four magazines and holsters... otherwise, they have great deals for under $400. i know what it's like to scrounge every penny, my first job was dicing potatoes to make french fries, handing out carryout orders, and filling soda cups in a fast food joint in college. i ate the same meal three times a day - two 25 cent microwave burritoes, two eggs, and a banana. bought the cheapo OJ and i'd water it down to make it last longer if you know what i mean. :D
 
I have no personal experience with or opinion of this gun, but it has been around since the mid 1990s, possibly even earlier, under a variety of importers and trade names.
 
haha burn i dont have that problem with the fast food i stock the freezer in the fall with meat so i have deer bear squirrel and duck every now and then i get some beef from the store lol

cdnn doesnt advertise prices on handguns thats wher i found the ez series
 
My guess about CDNN not posting prices anymore has more to do with some dealers getting all huffy. People walk in their stores and say "well I saw that gun at CDNN for $XXX" (probably a couple hundred less than the dealer)

If you're looking for an affordable 9x19, I'd check out the Rock Island Tanfoglio. I think it is called the MAP-1.

Centerfire sells them for $319+$10 shipping.

It's a straight up Tanfoglio, so parts are not a problem. Customer service is also most likely superior to EAA (like that's hard to do).

I hear ya, but the problem is that a shop who buys five pistols at a time doesn't have nearly the margin that CDNN has who buys them by the hundreds or thousands. For most guns sold in a shop the margin is very thin.

As to the Zastava, it looks like a decent gun, and I've heard postives about it, but my concern would be the availability of service and parts now and well into the future.
 
^^^ yup, that's why i refrain. that, and i don't have the money. :D

i still think the FN's are a great buy for the money, since they'll give you everything you need to start shooting with 4 mags except the ammo.
 
haranguer yeah i noticed that event eh cz99 and cz999 were made by a differrent company it appeared to me that it was never a cz design that was one thing i really liked that it was a cz design but nada
 
Google up www.cz999.org. There is an interesting article on the pistol. It was imprted at one time as the Charles Daly ZDA. The Tressitu, TZ99, was made in South Africa and is apparently rare. I don't know if that translates into any value though. KSN Industries in Israel made the compact version (CZ999) as the Golan.

It is not a true cZ as it is made in Serbia by Crvena Zastava.
 
well i was thinkin about the lack of parts and possibly a product that wont be here all that long

i think im gonna go with either a sigma or a taurus 24/7 i found new taurus' for 340
 
taurus and sigmas run all day in the 350 range... decent guns, though you'll find the bashers easy. check out taurus armed dot net or something like that. in that price range though, i'd still recommend a police trade-in glock or an FN.
 
i cant find an FN in the range and if i want a glock ive got one at free use (a 22 in .40 but idk glocks arent my thing too blocky maybe still fun guns)

im heading to the range and another place tomorrow to price some pistols and there is a show this weekend ill go to
