I was able to convince my lovely wife it was the right time to purchase my Christmas present:

I got a Feinwerkbau P70 Air Rifle, with an air tank, two adapters, sights, bipod, SKB case, leather sling and tools.

Now, before you say, "Hey! That's not a firearm!" You are correct. However, as the cold air moves in, my time on the range just became limited. With this, I can (and am) shooting in my basement, in the comfort of my home. Life is good. Now I can practice my marksmanship without the hassle of loud noises and a distant drive to a range.

I'll post pictures when I get the camera ready. Maybe I'll have my wife pose with it. :D

In a bikini.

I never slight the use of air guns...I mean the good ones. I've used air guns to teach several new shooters. Its perfect to learn sight alignment and trigger control. Also, a hit is a hit. The success can transfer to .22 very easily. Then center fire is no big jump.

Air gun is usually shot at 33'. A half inch dot on paper is a challenge and great fun. I say good planning and I'm sure you'll be a better shot when spring comes around. Twenty careful shots per night will cost almost nothing but may prove invaluable in a few months.

Mark.

I can relate to this.

I've got a 25' range in my basement and a Crosman 2250B CO2 rifle for just that reason. It snowed about a half-foot today, with high winds. Much better to just walk downstairs. The bullet trap that I have will work with a .22, but the air rifle just seems better.

actually to suggest a 1/2 inch dot for that match rifle is an insult ;) the target it was and is made to hit at 33 ft (ten metres) is about the size of a normal period at the end of a sentence.

I have a couple old school match airguns- a spring piston diana 75 and a feinwerkbau SSP model 601

I have heartedly recomended QUALITY airguns for years. Bought my first HW50 sporter 30 some odd years ago and she still shoots great! I went with it and a sheriden and the sheriden was a just because gun. The internet re ignited my love of airguns and the FWB match rifle was the first welcome back I bought. A plethora of others came after. They are great fun and great practice.

Is this the air rifle, or the wife?

depends- are ya talking of the butt or the muzzle end?

The cheek piece?

The breach?

then again if she is wearing depends I would say the gun only...

I really need to get pictures of myself shooting the canoe in the backyard from the bedroom window up! :)

But seriously, that basement range sounds nice! Heck, I wish I had a nice basement!

This isn't the "official" 10 meter target, but it's pretty darn close

I don't believe so- its not the olympic rifle airgun 10 meter one anyhow... another dicipline maybe...

I do have an "official" target I compressed to fit on a 8.5 X 11 page. The targets themselves are the correct size, I just moved them closer together so I could print out practice targets on one page.

If anyone is interested, I'd be glad to email ya a copy.
