So I decided that it had been a while since I made my wife something and decided to remedy that. I made her a set of earrings from a couple 9mm brass I had lying around. Just wanted to show them off... I'm rather proud of them! If any of you guys would like some shoot me a PM and ill see what we can do!! Sorry if I posted this to the wrong forum, if so mods please move. Thanks! Here they are!!

Shouldn't be a problem, I sanded the back after it was cut off and the post covers the entire primer pocket.

Nope .... sorry, illegal in the peoples republic of Massachusetts :banghead:. Any "component" of ammunition, including the spent primer or even an unprimed brass is considered "ammunition" and you better be properly licensed to possess it! I HATE this state!

Why, then, stay there and keep on "funding the enemy" with your tax monies?

I have thought about that for my wife, but haven't tried to make them yet. I think I'll punch out the primer, clean them up really good and glue a crystal or something into the primer pocket.

How do you get the backs smooth and how did you attach the stud if you don't mind my asking?

I made some similar to this once. The GF saw them on Pinterest and just had to have a pair. Mine were a little thicker. I left the extractor groove intact. Deprimed and then simply glued an appropriatley sized gemstone stud earing into the primer pocket. She preffered nickel plated cases over plain brass. I like your lightweight design however.

Those came out nice. I also like the idea of nickle plated cases. Do the studs get glued to the case heads or soldered? Thinking glue as solder may leave stain n the ear lobes.

Thanks for the good words! I used a dremel to cut the cases and then used an epoxy to attach hypo allergenic posts and jewels. I have some nickel casings coming my way so ill be making some of those shortly. here is another pic of a few more... there are .223, 40S&W, .380, 9MM and 45 colt pictured...

Nice work, and I admire your patience and skill.

Question: Do you think that the nickle plated casings will undo the purpose of the hypoallergenic posts?

More whimsical: When I say the title of the thread, a pair of North American Arms .22 Short revolvers mounted as drop earrings came immediately to mind...

My co-worker picked up a pair for her sis-in-law. They were only "ok".
However, yours look very nice. Much better craftsmanship!

Well done.

Get some +P+ stamped nickel brass for extra flair.. ;)

HST's expanded would make nice earings as well.

Thanks again everyone... I plan on getting some +P+ stuff eventually. I think I'm going to try and make some little pendants too. If anyone would like a pair of these or even just one for the guys just shoot me a PM!
