Okay you guys,

I've been shooting WAY too infrequently, primarily 'cause I grow bored quickly with punching holes in paper at Guncraft. Maybe it's attention deficit disorder, I dunno.

Anyway, I would LOVE to find an outdoor range or farm where I can take the wife and pop some milk jugs, cans, canteloupes, and the like, and teach the kids "hands-on" (it's all been situational awareness, 4 Rules, dry-fire and discussion thus far).

If anybody's got a lead, link, or phone # for me, I'd be extremely grateful.

Thanks!!!
FM

Edited to add: Feel free to PM or email me if you don't want to post specifics.

Have you checked out Oak Ridge Sportsmen Association (ORSA)? They have a wide variety of ranges and activities, including a plinkling range (anything but centerfire rifle allowed) although I think fruit is not allowed. An individual membership is $100 per year, can't beat that.

More here: http://www.orsa.nxs.net/orsa/index.cfm

There is also the John Sevier Hunter Education Center. Their hours are kinda strange, and I can't attest to their grounds, but they are a public range.

Thanks everybody!

BTW,
Anyone know anything about Hickory Creek?
Took a CCW class out there, and the guy was sort of...vague...even uncomfortable, when I asked about range time there. It was strange!
