Why does everyone hate Ebay for doing this? It is their business and we should let the free market decide
What now? I don't think anyone is suggesting legislation, we are acting as the free market and responding to ebay's actions. You are watching the market decide.

Exactly what I was saying. Its just funny to me that all these people complain about it and make a big deal and yet they claim to support the free market.

If you want to take the pro-gun side than do it in all aspects of your life. Dont just attack Ebay for it, do some research on everything. Find out if Chevy/Ford/Toyota/Etc. is anti-gun and if they are sell your car. If all the companies are anti-gun then ride a bike. And if the bike manufacturers are anti-gun walk. Make sure your shoes arent made by an anti-gun corporation.

Lets take it to the extreme people.

So it's either 100% or nothing? So if a candidate hasn't been flawless on RKBA forever then there's no advantage of voting for him over Ted Kennedy?

People are free to pick and choose their battles, and I'm not going to criticize them for it.

We sold gun parts on EBay as we are a business to make a profit. EBay’s response on Gun Parts is over 500% better than Gunbroker or Auction Arms. Beside that listing the items and billing the items is at least 300% faster than the other 2.

It is time for the other 2 site to take advantage of this but I know 1 will not, that is AA they have the worst software and the highest fees, and the most excuses. Here that AA?

I hope that the response on the parts will be greater on GB now with EBay quitting. I would like to see the billing become easier on multiple purchase.

Guns America is a disappointment as it is an advertising site that the seller pays when the item is sold by honor. As a buyer myself 90% of the items I call or email to buy have already been sold. 1 month later the same items are still for sale but have been sold. I got sick of reporting them as it is a hassle.

I've never bought a thing on eBay that wasn't a gun part. Seriously. What else do people sell that's of any value

I always get Car audio from Ebay stores.. I've saved a couple thousand by buying on Ebay instead of Retail Outlets.

I also closed my account... agree they can do as they please but I don't have to put up with it.

There are other auction place on the Internet that I can use if need be.

Software, movies and such is very cheap... some of it is likely pirated, I suspect - but generally very good deals.

Is this just a ploy by Gunbroker to get people to come on to their site? Seems like a stupid, knee-jerk reaction. Oh, well.

Glock Glockler: What I am trying to say is that it is funny to see people bash Ebay like this. How many of these same people watch TV shows and movies which are populated by anti-gunners? Use products made and sold by anti-gunners?

If your going to not use Ebay then by the same logic you should vote with your money in all aspects of your life is what I am saying.

ebay is a more personnal experience, not unlike this board. We actively interact with sellers and buyers trying to make deal. TV and movies are impersonal and if we are not entertained, the channel gets changed.

ebay is a public company that has made a political decision. The shareholders will only weigh in if their business is adversly affected. That will only happen if pro-gun buyers and sellers vote with their feet. If other politically motivated companies see no negative impact with ebay's decision, they might follow suit.

If Ebay wants to boycott gun-owners, why shouldn’t gunnies want to boycott Ebay in response?
And the shows, movies, and products you mention are generally not accompanied by an in-your-face public insult, restricting my ability to use said product; if they were, I would likely boycott them, too.

Every once in a while, something bugs the daylights out of me.

What I remember from college economics courses is that unimpeded consumer demand and seller supply IS the free market! As long as the government isn't imposing any controls, the market remains free.

So, telling a consumer to let the free market decide is counter-intuitive. On the other side of that, telling your congressperson to let the free market decide makes sense.

Fleabay is a waste of time anyway.

I have made about 12 purchases over the last 5 years on fleabay, 5 of them were garbage not as described and had to be sent back to the seller.
4 were gun items a set of sights for my 17-5 smith revolver for $23, and a set of original grips for my K22 smith, $37. A front sight tunnel and rear adjustible sight for my Anschutz .22 rifle, $50, and $95 Reasonably good deals, on items I could not find locally.

I have also watched many many items sell for more than they can be bought for new. In particular a remington shotgun barrel that was a little rusty, went for $175 plus $25 shipping. Whats wrong with that? well Cabellas had the same barrel brand new for $117.
