Thanks for the article. Articles like this are not common as most of the media is highjacked by the left.

This guy makes total sence. Now, if only enough liberals can read and comprehend!!

Agreed, very well done and from a college here nonetheless...

Anyways there was an anti AWB article in an "alternative" news paper.

email your opinions.... remember 30,000 students or so go here, so any article like this which is well written and not *too* inflamatory to the gun grabbers

ATTENTION THR READERS! PLease note there is a link to an e-mail address for the Daily Trojan. When an article like this is published in a university newspaper, much less in California, it deserves a response. Let them know how much you appreciate the truth for a change. By the way, should you be an LSU fan please try and get over the fact that your football team is #2 and USC was and is the real #1!.:neener: I hope that in no way hinders your ability to send the Daily Trojan a rational and intelligent comment.

Langenator-a few years ago a stray bullet from a drive-by struck the shoulder pad of a football player during practice. Fortunately the round was discharged from far enough away that it didn't have enough left to do any damage. I notice you're in South Carolina. You are aware that USC stands for University of Southern California? Some people in the South actually think it's University of South Carolina. Hard to believe-huh?

I mabe be in South Carolina (home of the USC Gamecocks, or, as I call them, the Angry Chickens), But I'm not from here. I went to UC Davis, and my sister went to UCLA.

I know USC is in a crappy neighborhood in LA, I just forget which one (South Central? Compton?)

The USC here is in a nice neighborhood, a couple blocks from the state capitol.

And I get a kick from wearing a USC Trojans sweatshirt here during football season, just to annoy the locals.

South Central

Yeah, that's where we are at....

although the area has improved a lot, some guy(read gang banger) was tagging a sidewalk outside a friends appartment. Well he fell down with 7 holes in him

In the immediate area, there are a lot of students so it's safer, but once you start getting out of a certain "square", it gets rough.

Langenator-security at USC is quite extensive(for a school)as it is indeed in a high crime neighborhood. The L.A. Coliseum is nearby, and parking is difficult for events. One of the favorite tricks of the locals is to spot an unsuspecting out of towner who can't find a place to park, tell him it's OK to park on the lawn of the house they're standing in front of(knowing the homeowner/occupant is gone)charge the poor vic $20 to park and then steal his car while he's at the game. Bet your sister doesn't wear a USC hat! I wore a USC hat to the SEC Wos. Basketball Tourney and had much fun explaining to people that South Carolina doesn't have gold in their colors. To keep on topic I am still surprised that this article appeared in the Daily Trojan. Hopefully they may choose to print a positive letter or 2 from a THR member or some other such intellectual member of the public.
