So I was browsing around on ammunitiontogo earlier looking up different SD rounds between .40 and .45. I generally prefer HST because its effective and cheap and I ended up finding something I had never heard of in the Federal line, expanding fmj. How does it compare to regular fmj and HP's? It says it feeds smoother than HP's, so thats the only benefit I can see it having. I would assume that it wouldn't penetrate like a regular fmj and it wouldn't expand as much as a HP.
So tell me, is this a good round, or something that should only be considered for a gun that doesn't like HP's?
