I'm looking to purchase a Surefire E2E or the Longbow. Can someone tell me their thoughts on the two. I always consult the people on the High Road prior to making a purchase on an item such as this.

I bet you never thought that there would be a forum re flashlights. :D
I never did, but those guys and gals are as dedicated to flashlights as we are guns. I admit that I have enjoyed it too.

I bought a fair number of lights, and then when it was dark shined them on the neighgor's houses. But when I knew I was hooked was when my wife would go some place, and I would go to the dark garage, and shine and compare my lights. When she would come home and I would want her to see the different ones and beam patterns, she looked at me as if I was strange. :D

When I got so many lights that I did not know where to put them, I decided that was enough. It is still a good forum.

One of the suppliers who is a contributor to the forum has some coin cell lights that you can put on a keychain. They are useful, and make great little gifts. They are $1.00 each. I guess I have bought 100 or so, and give them away to my auto service manager, and the kids and ladies at the church.

Take a loook.

If you want a flashlight of any kind go there and look at what the folks have.
You mentioned the Longbow. If you get one let us know what you think of it.

An excelllent and powerful light is the Pelican M6 Lithium. I recently was assisitng in a CCW class, and the instructor mentioned that I was going to show some lights. One of the students went to the car and brought back a 5 D Mag-Lite. He was so proud of it until I turned my Pelican on and destroyed his light. The Pelican uses 2 CR 123 Lithium batteries. Those batteries can be bought from Battery Station for a buck each to 1.25 each. Also Surefire did sell them for 15/12 batteries. It beats 5 bucks each at Walmart.

Now I'll go to a dark room and shine my lights. Only sane people do that.
:D :D
