Anyone use the eforms system since it came back up again. I just submitted one last night to SBR my CX4 Storm. Just curious if they are being approved much faster like they were before. I remember hearing people being approved in 4 months or less.

Well I just got an email from the ATF that says the permit/control number has changed to approved. If I am reading that right then my form 1 has been approved.

Submited 7/27
approve 8/21

Man that is fast, now only if we can get form 4 on there

Let's see how long this one takes, sent on 8/22/2014 3:49p.m. CST
My last form one took right at 5mos.

So, several years back, before all the craziness, I sent in an ATF Form 1 for a short barreled rifle build I wanted to do.

Filled out the form, wrote the $200.00 check and sent it all in after triple checking everything to be certain it was correct.

THEN, I waited... and waited... and waited...

Six agonizing months later, I FINALLY got my approved form 1 back in the mail and was able to finish my SBR build.

One would think, that after such an experience, a person would not wish to expose one's self to such torture again.

One would think...

Well, on August 5th of this month, I filled out the Form 1 again, grabbed another $200.00 and sent it in, only this time, it was an electronic version of the ATF Form 1.

After another excruciating wait, (20 days!!!), I got the approved form 1 back electronically.

Any guesses what I'll be up to this week?

Wow, 20 days is really fast, what did you build? My problem is that I'd really like to take advantage of these fast form 1 times, but there is not really anything I'm capable of building that I want badly. If I had a lathe and some serious machining skills, I'd be swimming in Gtscotty brand suppressors.

I'm making AR and TC G2 SBR's. Not much to building either of them. Putting pistol barrels on the G2 carbine and a 12" upper/barrel on the AR. It takes a bit of skill to cut down my existing 18" 300 whisper AR upper to 12" though. :)

I just got my first SBR stamp in the mail. I sent it when the EFile system was on the fritz so I had to snail mail it.

Mailed the day after tax day, April 16th. Approved Aug 25. 131 days (4 months, 9 days) not too bad considering my stamp for my sparrow took 10 months.

Wow, that's impressive. Not just for an agency of the federal government. I've had orders I placed with Palmetto State Armory that took longer to get filled.
