Just excited to say I got my approved form 1 for an sbr back, 4 months to the day. I've been running into some funny issues. Initially my form was approved but had the word "DRAFT" watermarked across the pdf. After some research I discovered this was a mistake that happens occasionally. So I made a call and sent a few emails thinking the more people who saw my issue, the faster it would get resolved. Based on your knowledge of our bureaucracy, guess what happened next?

That's right now they've sent me two separate form 1's for the same firearm, with 2 different agents and 2 different dates. I've notified them so I can figure out which one I should use, but I thought it was kinda funny.

After I get my receiver back from the engraver, I'll post some pics for you guys.

Yikes, that's weird. Did they advise you on what to do considering the item was approved twice by two different agents? If it was a duplicate of the same approved form, it wouldn't be any big whoop, but two different signatures and dates for the same item is odd. Anywho, I'd be curious to hear how it turns out. :)

P.S. Four months, eh? I'm just over the three month mark on some eformed Form 1s. Maybe they will be approved soon. :D

My AK SBR was just approved a few weeks ago. It was 15 weeks to the day.

A buddy of mine filing for his first NFA item, an SBR, waited 17-1/2 weeks and got denied lol. I felt so bad for him and he was frustrated. It was an easily made mistake on his/our part (I helped him with it). His gun was a Sig Sauer model Sig516. On the drop down menu for the model of gun we saw 516 and selected it, not seeing that way down at the bottom there is the Sig516 option.
Sig doesn't make 2 different 516 models so we didn't think anything of it. Oh well, they couldn't do anything for him after he was denied and now he's got to start from the beginning again.

Buddy of mine had the same issue, returned e-Form 1 with "DRAFT" watermarked across it.

That was middle of November...

He's still waiting.

See if they'll let you keep the second stamp if you send them 200$ for it now (it's already been approved, after all), then just build a new receiver for the same gun type with the same serial number applied yourself :D (j/k because they won't agree to the first part, but legally there's no reason it couldn't work)
