i have what i belive is a egyptian 43 cal. i need help identfing ,it is 38 to 40 in. long ,full length wood stock 3 ring mout no saddel rings ,adjustabel site on front with romeman numerials on it ,the site seems to be mountained backwards. the bore mics. right at 45 or 44.878 .the chamber is necked down ,there 5 riflings slow twist .i have not torn down the gun i need insturctions ,no numbers that i can find .the gun is in very good condtion,i would appreciate any help,and a value if it is an egyptian ?

Without pictures, it's nearly impossible to guess it's heritage or value.

A google search might be able to give you some idea, but nothing more than a guesstimate.

"...no saddle rings..." Hi. There wouldn't be on a 38 to 40 inch rifle. When rolling blocks were used(Late 1860's), cavalry would have been issued a carbine.

Not all Remington Rolling Blocks that were made for Egypt had Remington markings. Not all were made by Remington either.
Buffalo Arms loads 385 grain, .446", cast bullet with Swiss BP ammo. Very expensive stuff. $129.00US per 20.
Midway wants $75.99US per 20 for Bertram brass.
