Elcan SpecterDR

The concept of an illuminated reticle 1x/4x sight for an AR seems interesting. The SpecterDR looks very interesting, but what a price tag. Has anyone here actually used one? Any good places to get for a halfway decent price? Just looking for general comments on the optic as well.

My friend had one for a while. It was very cool, if it was the price of an ACOG that would be great. I recall it being a bit hefty though, but it definately was cool.

Don't recall what batteries it took though or what the battery life was, but I still have not replaced my ACOG with an ELCAN for what it is worth
