I suspect that we will again see a spike in gun prices as we did when President Obama was elected. That, and an increase in ammo prices that was supposedly blamed on raw material price incereases. What is worse, I don't have any faith that Romney will win, and I'm sure the gun price "speculators" believe the same. Prices will skyrocket even higher.

DPMS ARs- 1200 plus
Aks - 1100 plus
Handguns 200-300 over current prices
M1a- 2000 plus
.308 AR- 2000 plus
Ammmo-5 to 10 dollars more a box.

Anyone think I'm wrong?

Probably, because people have to have something to fret about or they get bored. But they'll drop back down most of the way after the election, when the world doesn't end. The best indicator of future behavior is past behavior.

Never know. What with the economy, you'll probably be able to get a pristine Python for a can of beans though. There's always that.

Romney certainly has a chance with the way this economy is in such horrible shape, which may limit demand and or the ability to fund gun purchases.

Prices after the election will drop regardless who gets in.

Romney to me is a mixed bag. He says a few flattering words at an NRA conference and gun owners fall in love with him (talk about being single-issue minded...) However, he's said a few things in the past that show his hey-NRA-members-I-love-you-vote-for-me may be just words, as he has talked about how "evil" guns are in the past.

I'm a little embarrassed how many gun owners think Romney is their savior for all things wrong in this country. Gun owners have been badmouthing Obama for so long, anyone else is held up as better, but I suspect the honeymoon will be a short one, after everyone (like every four years) learns that there are huge problems going on that won't (notice I didn't say "can't") be fixed by any President. A year from now we'll be right back where we are now, people waving their arms and planning for the End Times... Ugh.

Is Romney more pro-gun than Obama... I have no frekin' idea. At least Obama said what he thinks... Romney, I'm not so sure that we know. Based upon known statements and an unknown agenda, I guess it's a case of picking our poison...
