For those of you that might be interested:
In November during the rifle deer season, hunt for both with an over the counter purchase deer tag and a land owner permit Elk tag.
Contact me for details.

Update info:

Hunt both Elk & Deer August/Sept bow, ML-Sept.to Oct, Rifle Oct-Jan '05.

The NM out of state deer tags cost $190 over the counter (OTC) for unit 21.

Bow season elk starts 8-28 thru 9-20, deer season is within these dates.

November rifle deer hunts are 11-3 to 11-5, and 11-10 to 11-14-04, use with our land owner elk permits for overlapping dates.

Our ranch only rifle elk tags are good for 5 day hunts once activated and we can use the till 1-31-05.

These are not cow hunts.

We will set these hunts up so they are 6 days in the field and overlap some .
Hunt deer and elk as opportunity arises.
Probably won't be able to do this next year as NMG&F has proposed for the 2005 season to make all deer a draw tag system and elk hunting will be cut off by December 31 instead of Jan. 31.

Muzzle loader deer is 9-27 thru 10-03-2004. We can do elk /deer with the same 6 day hunt.

Second Bow season deer is January 8 thru 16, 2005 and we can do the same with the combined elk/ deer, 6 days hunt with lodging and meals.

If you didn't fill your deer tag in the 1st deer hunt it is good for the second archery deer season in January 2005.

Rifle Elk hunts cost $5500 plus sales tax and NMG&F fee of $490.
Bow Elk Hunts cost $5000 plus sales tax and NMG&F fee of $490.

Contact me for details, questions, and to book your hunt.

I'd sure love to go, but damn, $6K+ just for the hunting is a lot of money. Beyond my means at this time. I could maybe swing $600 including getting there and back. I guess guided hunts are just beyond my means for a while.

Sumpnz,
Yep, it's alot to me to, it's been a education because I use to guide for others and just be concerned about the days hunt and my pay check, that has a beauty in itself. When you start doing the math, 2k for elk permits, insurance, fuel, food, guide and outfitter license, advertising, buying mailing lists, color copies, envelopes, postage stamps, on and on.:what: but I like being on my own. Then any BS is my fault and that won't happen.

I have guided for some big places that get from $6,500 to $14,000 for the same as I'm doing right near here and they don't include as much.
