I'm trying to figure out how much leather it takes to make a jacket (I'm 6', 190-200). I have a hide from the cow elk I shot back in October that I'm preparing to take to the tannery this weekend. Be nice to get it out of the freezer.
Anyway, what are the odds that the hide from one average size AZ cow elk would provide enough leather to make a jacket?
