Just got mine in the mail. Very slick, IMO.

I'm really trying to keep my AR a light, handy carbine. Basically, I'm trying limit my mods to things that will improve usability in a tasteful/thoughtful way, if that makes sense.
It's shares HD duties with our trusty 9mm, and is very useful as feral dog/coyote/puma protection at our rural home. Adding a quality light, therefore, has been high on my list of "wants".
I hoped to find these things in a light mount:
-Be able to accept various lights as new lights become available and technology improves. (Don't want to be "stuck" with old tech molded-in lights)
-Lightweight (2.8oz w/o light)
-Strong (fiber reinforced plastic)
-Ambidexterious
-Design that complements my MOE setup. (fits very, very nicely)
-Inexpensive
I think for $29.00, I definitely got everything I wanted...
It's my opinion that Elzetta did an excellent job color matching their mount. These are both flat dark earth(FDE). The only difference is that the MOE stock is a bit textured, and the Elzetta mount is fairly smooth/shiny.
Note: the two halves are NOT tightened all the way down in this pic, when fully tightened, the two halves have zero space between them, just fyi. I just wanted to snap a pic of how narrow the mount is, with respect to the MOE stock.
