A friend who is looking into getting into reloading was asking my advice yesterday. The man happens to be a Physician who enjoys firearms so much he has a FFL.

After going over his reloading checklist and adding and subtracting a few items I thought about recommending the reloading section of THR. I thought twice. I would not want to introduce him into THR as it now stands.

THR is most likely the best firearms discussion board going but it is a shadow of it's former self. Most of us are here in the quest to gain and share knowledge that applies to firearms and the rights to own them. I enjoy a lively discussion about most anything even if it veers a little OT.

Friendly or Un Friendly discussion taken to PM or Email is a great way to make a new buddy! We all have our preconceived notions about what things should be.

Ya know, I had the same trouble today. I was speaking to somebody interested in firearms, and I began to make my standard recomendation that they visit THR. I had second thoughts and kept my mouth shut. I didn't want them to see the bickering and name calling from normally rational people.
Very sad.

Clearly you have spent NO time whatsoever on any other gun boards. As a person who frequents most of them i can tell you that this board still remains the nicest and politest gun board around.

Personally i think that attention mongering and pouting are just as bad as name calling and bickering.

Yeah, I'm a mod on another large board, and I swear I've locked and deleted more posts in the past two days than I have in the month or so before that when I became a mod.

It's silly season on the net right now. I was honestly a bit surprised to see it here.

Closing this, because I don't think it is going to help. If you're unhappy with THR at the moment, please don't post about it. All it is doing is polarizing people even further.

Send PMs, emails, whatever, to whomever you are displeased with, or just sit back and let things settle back down.

The moderators are doing our best, people.
