Hello everyone, I have a question about the Encore Pro Hunter Pistol. I need to know if the Barrels from the Pro Hunter series pistols will interchange with the other Encore frames. I'm new to the Encore world and would like to order another barrel.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Welcome to the Encore world. My encore pistol is a .30/06 and it has been known to impress others. Cant wait to try it on a deer or coyote this year.

Eugene, what calibers do you have encore interest in?

I think the handgun barrels can get as addictive if not more than the rifle barrels. I recently shot with my buddy what also shoots a Encore pistol. He has a .243, .22-250, and a .257 roberts. I brought mine with the .308 barrel and we had a blast. Now I am wanting to get a .22-250 barrel to take out to western Kansas for prarie dogs.

Thanks for the help. I took it to the range this evening to break the barrel in. It shoots great. I will put another forearm on it tomorrow and shoot it from a bench rest. I think this thing will shoot less than 1MOA at 100 yds. I'm impressed.

UMC, this one is chambered for 223 Rem. I plan on ordering a 15" match barrel with a 1 in 8 twist and a full Bull profile chambered in 223. I may also get a similar barrel in 6BR.
Thanks again for the help.

Most Encore or Contender barrels that are shooting bottleneck cartridges will shoot MOA or better @ 100 yards. There will surely be some that don't though.
For the distances most use a Encore barrel, a 1 MOA group is not really vital for big game hunting.

XP thanks for the reply. I can see where the Encore could easily take smaller game with the 223 and much larger game with the larger calibers.

I am just using this one to punch holes in paper. I have BFR's and S&W 500's and enjoy shooting them. The Encore is different. It is like long range handgun shooting. I think I will like it.

XP, I read some of your articles and looked at some of your photos in other posts. They are VERY impressive. I plan on trying a Nikon Buckmaster 6X18 power rifle scope on the Encore tomorrow at the range. Does this seem like it might work on a Encore that is chambered for 223. It does not seem to have much recoil when shooting from a rest. I hope the eye relief is not too much of a problem.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Eugene,
I am glad you enjoyed the articles.
One thing to remember besides making sure you are at a safe distance, is to have your parallax adjustment set correctly.
That can really mess up small groups if it is not correct.
