Outwardly, how can one tell the difference in the newer enhanced version vs the older model? Is the serial number an indicator. Thanks in advance,Carpools
 
Sights are bigger and the serial # is one number,no dash between the prefix and the serial.It has a lighter trigger too.
 
No dash? I thought the dash was required post 68 gun control act? Maybe not? Thanks catpop

Lots of guns have serial numbers without dashes. All GCA '68 said was that the gun had to have some sort of SN, not that it had to have specific characters.
