Eotech Tactical vs NonTactical models?

What's the difference between the tactical and untactical model? The tactical is submersible to 10 feet? Is that it?

Any point having the miltree models if I don't have night vision (yet)?

Someone must have an answer to this! Ive been wondering the same thing.

Only difference seems to be that little rubber hat it has.

I wondered the same thing, so I looked at them closely at a gun show and read about them in the web.

After I read everything I could find, and since I don't plan to be in any extremely harsh environments, I bought the Bushnell Compact Holosight with the Standard Reticle, which I believe is the same thing as the other more expensive models, but without the 'rollbar'. It cost me around $220 about a year ago at www.natchezss.com , and it works great!

The Eotech has the metal protective cover as someone else mentioned. Some Eotechs are night vision compatible, as well.
