Eotech XPS2 mounting question

If I place an Eotech XPS 2 directly on the rail of a flat top AR, how will that cowitness with the iron sights? Is it too low, or do I need some type of riser underneath it?
Does anyone have a photo of an AR set up with an Eotech XPS2?

Absolute cowitness. No riser needed. The center dot will be very close to the top of the front post.

You don't say which type of iron sights you have, but I'd strongly suspect that the EOTech will offer an absolute co-witness just the way it sits.
