I have a Mossberg 500 slug gun that shots slugs pretty well, but I saw an Escort semi auto today that has cut rifling and a faster twist. Anyone shoot one? Are they accurate for a slug gun? Or is that just hype. I read some good reviews as to the function of them for being cheap but saw nothing as far as accuracy.

Do not be tempted by price and gimmicks. To my regret I bought it. Laser bore sighted it, shot a lot of different expensive slugs through it and it sucks. My 500 Mossberg is much better. Worse yet, it jammed. I read through the paperwork. There is no warrantee of any kind at all and has a disclaimer to that effect. It also states that you should only shoot Hornady sst slugs through it, which are expensive, and out of stock. I really don't want to spend any more money buying slugs for this peice of crap. I hope I get get most of my money back.

I think I found the problem. It looks like the muzzle has been damaged. A small dent with a lip on it. No warrantee but the Gun shop should take it back or fix it.

For the price, the Turkish Escort is a fine shotgun. All things considered, I would go with the Mossberg (after-market parts etc.) but the Escort would not disappoint.

-Cheers

I would have been interested in a replacement but the counter guy didn't quite know what to do so he offered my money back so I took it. I don't know if it was damaged in the store or was shipped that way. Either way it's a quality control issue.
