Went to Dunhams today to pick up some trap loads. Ammo selection was pretty slim so I got some Federals on sale at $2.99. Bought the last 3 boxes and picked up the last three boxes of Estate #8's for $3.99.
Now, two of the Estate boxes are labled Super Sport Target Load and one is a Super Sport Competition Load.
Both types are 12 GA, 2 3/4", 1 1/8oz, #8, 3 Dram eq. with the same part number of SS12H 8.
The SS target has steel bases while the SS comp Load has brass bases.
What benefit does brass have over steel?
One box says "Specially blended clean burning powders" and the other says Fine Progressive burning powders matched to each load...
How much of a difference will this make, if any?
Thanks,
Chris
