Can anyone tell me what the fair market value of these two might be if I were to sell them in a private sale (not to a dealer?) Specifically I'm wondering if "matching pair" guns are worth more as a pair, or if they each would have their own individual value? I'm betting on the latter. Matched pair or not, each will prolly have to stand on it's own merits.

If you've ever checked out gunbroker.com, you will notice that the bid prices on a lot of Colts seem to be all over the place.

I'm thinking that GI colts are more valuable than commercial colts because of their collector value.

And I'm doubting whether there is any value in the two being a matched pair.

As a pair I would think you would take a hit on the sale unless its a matched set on the serial numbers.

Kind of like trying to sell a blue and a red 93 toyota in the same sale.

Hey! How'd YOU know I had matching blue and red Toyotas? :)

What makes them matching? Consecutive SN's? Oterwise, they're just two guns almost the same.
But now I'm going to stay awake at night thinking about that bright stainless Enhanced model. Looking to get rid of it?? :D
